Program Overview

This is a program intended for Registered Nurses who are seeking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN).

 

The ADN to BSN program is designed to prepare registered nurses to advance empirical knowledge based on evidence-based research. Professional healthcare practitioners will learn how to transfer leadership and management skills to positively impact individual, community, and population health in a complex healthcare system. The program fosters lifelong learning and professional development for the purpose of collaboration and strategic planning of patient care delivery.

 

Coursework in this program is designed to develop and enhance student skills in patient-centered care, communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, safety, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, professionalism, managing care, patient education, informatics in healthcare, and legal/ethical practices.

Step 3: Determine your readiness for online learning

Use this self-assessment to gauge your readiness for online learning. The following four characteristics are common for successful online students:

  • Basic technical and academic skills
  • Ability to study independently

  • Willing to devote the same amount of time and effort as a face-to-face course

Online Student Hub

Our Online Student Hub provides an interactive, user-friendly online portal for students to access academic support, technology assistance, web-based services, learning enrichment, and future opportunities for employment. Students will have access to a variety of applicable resources in a central location.

Academic Support

Through the Student Hub, students will be able to schedule academic tutoring services, get writing support specific to their coursework, and leverage support and accommodations for disabilities.

Digital Content and Literature

24/7 access to the college’s digital library and linked academic resources such as Cinahl/EBSCO will be provided to all students in the Student Hub.

Technology and Web-based Assistance

The Student Hub will provide a database of solutions to issues related to hardware and software applications, password resets, email and Canvas assistance, and allow students to book in-person troubleshooting appointments and lab time at the campus literacy center.
