Linda Phelps, DNP, RN

ADN PROFESSOR

Dr. Linda Phelps comes to UUN with over 20 years of experience in a variety of healthcare roles including clinical experience in multiple clinical settings including cardiac, medical-surgical, and intensive care. Dr. Phelps began teaching in 2008, and she has taught in all program levels from ASN to DNP. She has also served as a faculty advisor and editor for nursing students, and she is the author of the Nursing Diagnosis Reference Manual, Nursing Diagnosis Handbook, LPN to RN Transitions: Achieving Success in Your New Role, contributing author of MediQuik Drug cards, and reviewer of the Nursing Drug Handbook series.

Dr. Phelps is also a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, the National League for Nursing, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, NANDA International, the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, and The Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Dr. Phelps is an enthusiastic, passionate instructor who loves to support all levels of nursing students throughout their healthcare journey.
