Norma Hamel, MSN,RN,AGNP-C,ACCNS,CCRN

PROFESSOR, ADN

Norma Hamel is an ADN Professor at United Nursing College. She comes to UNC with a wealth of knowledge in the areas of critical care nursing and clinical education and instruction. Norma earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2007 from Walsh University, Ohio, and she completed a Master of Science in Nursing in 2021 from San Diego State University in San Diego, California. Norma is a licensed Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, and she also holds certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Norma began her nursing journey in Akron, Ohio, as an LPN in 2000 and in 2012 became an adjunct clinical instructor for Walsh University. She served as an RN at Akron City Hospital and was contracted by GE as a Clinical Education Specialist to educate staff on a variety of healthcare related products. Norma also served as an adjunct clinical instructor for West Coast University and recently implemented care as an RN for critically ill patients at Temecula Valley Hospital and Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, California. Norma proudly joins UNC to educate the next generation of safe, innovative, and caring nurses.
